The Cogeneration Project, a CHP Solution (Combine Heat & Power), at the Hospital Menonita Caguas is under its final construction phase. The Hospital will be capable to produce their own energy to fulfill the power demand, also producing its own water heating and cooling for their existing systems. PREPA will be back-up for the power supply. CBE is proud to be part of this groundbreaking energy efficient project.
The new well water storage and treatment plant project connects two existing wells with a new 120,000-gals bolted tank. The proposed water treatment system is reverse osmosis with multimedia filter. With the water treatment plant and cogeneration projects the Hospital will be fully resilient and independent from the government utility services.
The Hospital Menonita Caguas is in the construction process of the new ICU and Rehabilitation facilities on the fourth floor of the Hospital. Is a new 23,275 ft2 of interior liuarea dedicated to 12 intensive care rooms, three of them isolation rooms, and its supports area, 16 rehabilitation rooms, two of them semi-private, its supports areas and a full GYM.
The Medical Offices project consists in the refurbishing of three abandoned buildings annexed to the Hospital Menonita Caguas, 33,020 sq ft. of construction, 20 new medical offices, 55 examination rooms with new electrical, telecommunications, fire alarm, HVAC, fire sprinkler, and plumbing systems.
The “Medicina Sur” & Pediatrics Project consists in the remodeling of two floors at the Hospital Perea in Mayagüez, 6,000 sq ft area. “Medicina Sur”, eight private nursing rooms and six pediatrics rooms both floors with their supporting services areas.
The Perea Imaging and Women’s Institute project consists of the refurbishing of the first floor of the Perea Imaging Building, 3,800 sq. ft. of construction area. The proposed services are: two sonography’s, densitometry, stereotactic mammography, mammography, X-rays, MRI, CT Scan, three waiting rooms and supporting areas.

The Hospital Metropolitano Dr. Pila Earthquake Damages Repair Program is the emergency response to repair all damages caused by the seismic events in the south of Puerto Rico in order to continue giving the health services in a timely manner. The project consists in the repair of all systems: structural, architectural, mechanical, and electrical.

The Migrant Health Center, Betances Clinic II project in Mayaguez consist in a new three-story building, 40,000 sq ft of new construction, sitework, new substation, power generator, and electromechanical building, including water cistern. The building will accommodate administration offices, urgency department, laboratory, medical offices, dental services and imaging department.
